I haven’t felt inspired for a few weeks. It’s like there was an intentional void in my life helping me disconnect from what I knew so I could discover something new.
It was scary at times. I didn’t understand what the hell was going on and why I felt so confused about everything, but I heard the intuitive voice tell me to trust it, even though it didn’t make sense. When I was able to do that, I felt at peace, and knew deep down that the Universe had my back.
Once I stopped fighting it and began to accept how I was feeling, like it or not, something else took over.
I stopped caring that I wasn’t inspired; I stopped making it mean that there was something wrong with me. It actually felt freeing.
It allowed me to shed what I no longer needed, whether it was a negative belief, old patterns that kept me stuck, or habits that kept me in the victim mind set.
If you find yourself feeling super uninspired or confused and questioning what the hell you are doing with your life, please be patient and kind to yourself and do the FOLLOWING:
Seriously. Get the EFF off. Social media is the LAST place you want to be when you feel like shit about yourself and you’re uninspired.
I don know what is best for you, but find a way to spend a very MINIMAL amount of time on social media.
I log myself out for long periods of time and when I do go on, I ONLY watch or look at posts and stories that make me FEEL GOOD.
Get out your journal and feel all the feels.
Here are a few questions you can ask yourself:
Keep it simple!
DO something DIFFERENT. Seriously. Get out of your daily routine and mix it up.
Go spend time with someone you haven’t seen in awhile.
Take a drive.
Go to a different coffee shop.
Go do that one thing that you have wanted to do but have been putting off.
Follow the spontaneous ideas that arise. You may be surprised from what comes up as you do this.
As Shannon Ables says, “What self-acceptance does is open up more possibilities of succeeding because you aren’t fighting yourself along the way.”
That's the thing: We gotta stop fighting ourselves for how we are feeling. It never works. Find a way to let go of the judgments you have towards yourself and ACCEPT what is, even if you don't like it.
Once we can accept how we are feeling, our hearts seem to open back up and show us the way, without the critical mind getting in the way.
And remember, this is happening FOR YOU, not to you. If you can live by that phrase, life will become a whole lot easier.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah
